Day #2 Reflections:

I really liked the tools we explored today. There is so much variety of tools and within each tool. Some of the sites require more time to decipher and manipulate while others are more direct. And, as we discovered, the more complicated and varied the site is in options the more "professional" the end result can look. I can see how engaging it can be for students to make digital stories with visuals and layers of effects, music and voiceovers.

I really appreciate the images sites that you highlighted. To have a safe list we can use within copyright constraints is immeasurably valuable in reassurance and time efficiency. Also, the information about using copyrighted material gives a general understanding of our responsibility and places to go for online advice.

Two of my favorite sites to date are Photoshop #3 and Animoto. The first tool is easy to use and well organized in its tasks. The results
are immediate and satisfying in quality. Animoto is more difficult to navigate but the end project is flashier and impressive to watch. I will look at other tools on our list just to have some sense of their ease, utility and depth of offerings.

To date, I have my final project roughly scripted, knowing that I will be honing the commentary as production continues. I have also banked pictures and a few video clips from which I can draw as the creative process continues.
